Michael L. McKennon, Founding Member
Michael founded dbbmckennon to deliver high-quality audit and support services, at a competitive fee. Michael was a founding partner of McKennon, Wilson & Morgan LLP in 1998, and was responsible for the firm’s audit and assurance practice until founding dbbmckennon. Michael was previously employed by the accounting firms of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP prior to 1998 and Arthur Andersen LLP through 1992. Until 1986, Michael worked at Calmar Dispensing Systems, a $100 million manufacturer, as a plant controller.
Michael is a Certified Public Accountant in California and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Michael was formerly a director and finance chairman for the Orange Coast YMCA and served as a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Orange County based Pacific Premier Bank, a $3.5 billion in assets community bank. Michael received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton in 1983. Michael, when not working, enjoys spending time studying financial and economic activity. He loves his family, surfing, snow skiing, tennis and fine wines.
Michael is a native of Los Angeles, along with his parents and grandparents. He is grounded, and very knowledgeable of his client’s and his community’s needs. Michael treats his clients with courtesy and respect because “the customer is always right”!
Russ Boyer, Founding Member
Russ is the partner in charge of our San Diego practice area, and a founding member of dbbmckennon. Russ has over twenty years experience in both public accounting, most recently with local accounting firms and Deloitte and, in private industry with Flying J International, Inc. Russ is an expert in the technical accounting and reporting for companies reporting before the Securities and Exchange Commission. Industries in which Russ services, includes but are not limited to professional services, software and technology related, alternative fuels, manufacturing and retail industries.
Russ is a Certified Public Accountant certified in California and is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Russ graduated from San Diego State University in May 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.
David Gosselin, Partner
David Gosselin is a partner in the audit and accounting practice at dbbmckennon, a PCAOB registered CPA firm with offices in Newport Beach and San Diego, CA. David is in charge of the firm’s Reg A+ and Title III Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) efforts and has established himself and the firm as one of the top in the nation for JOBS Act related audit services. David has two decades of experience working with clients that report before the SEC and is an expert in Reg A+ and SEC audits and reporting; working with companies that range from pre-revenue to having over $1Billion in annual sales. David has worked across many industries including but not limited to: technology, software, retail, service, and manufacturing.
David is also an author and instructor for the CalCPA Education Foundation where he has educated thousands of CPA’s across the country on how to document under best practices of the industry in a paperless environment. In addition, David co-founded one of the largest and most influential non-profit emerging professional groups in Southern California which connects professionals while giving back to local charities; as well as Breast Cancer Angels, a OC based 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and serves as an audit committee member for Wescom Credit Union.
